Louise Plummer

Principal and Teacher of Ballet, Tap and Modern

Louise began dancing at the age of five with Royal Academy of Dance examiner Vanessa Rendell, at Dance Foundation in Clacton, Essex. Having worked progressively through the Royal Academy of Dance Graded and Vocational Graded Ballet exams and ISTD Modern, Tap and Jazz exams, aged eighteen Louise successfully gained one of only thirty places to study at The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) headquarters in Battersea, London on their Ballet Education degree programme. Whilst at the RAD Louise decided to further her knowledge of the RAD syllabus through undertaking their Licentiate programme. Louise finished her degree in 2008, having achieved a 2:1, her Licentiate status and her Advanced Two Ballet (which allowed her to also become an Associate of the RAD).

Louise began working for Jane Mitton at the Newmarket School of Dance in September 2008 as well as at various schools throughout Essex and Suffolk. As well as teaching Louise has also been involved with choreographing for theatre group productions, Most recently with Soham's Viva Youth Theatre productions of Phantom of the Opera (March 2014), Les Miserables (July 2014), Oliver (March 2015), Evita (March 2016). In December 2014 Louise choreographed her first professional pantomime at The Shaw Theatre in London.

Louise became Principal of Newmarket School of Dance in March 2013, when Jane Mitton retired. Having taught ballet to hundreds of children Louise, who is enjoying the

challenge of being Principal, using her enthusiasm to continue to build upon the

school's achievements, loves having the opportunity to share her knowledge and

passion for dance.
